Our Mission
Guided by lived experience and deep compassion, our mission is to provide healing environments that foster recovery, stability, and renewed purpose. We do this by transforming abandoned or distressed properties into supportive transitional housing, emergency shelter, and community resources that strengthen individuals and neighborhoods alike.
Who We Are
We are a Metro‑Detroit nonprofit rooted in a legacy of love, loss, and unwavering belief in the power of second chances. Our work is built on a simple truth: every person deserves dignity, safety, and a place where healing can begin. We exist to transform neglected spaces into environments that restore hope and rebuild lives—especially for individuals facing addiction, homelessness, and instability.

What We Do
Our work focuses on creating a continuum of care that meets people where they are and supports them as they move toward stability
Warming Center & Soup Kitchen
A safe, welcoming space offering warmth, nourishment, and connection for individuals experiencing homelessness or crisis—especially during Detroit’s harsh winter months.
Emergency Shelter
A rehabilitated property providing short‑term, safe housing for individuals who need immediate refuge and support.
Transitional Housing
A structured, supportive home for individuals in recovery to rebuild their lives with stability, accountability, and wraparound services.
Community Garden & Gathering Space
A place where neighbors can grow food, build relationships, and reclaim community pride—turning vacant land into a shared source of healing and belonging.
Why We Exist
Metro‑Detroit carries both the weight of generational disinvestment and the strength of resilient communities. Too many people face addiction without support, homelessness without shelter, and hunger without relief. At the same time, too many buildings sit empty—symbols of what was lost instead of what could be rebuilt.
We believe in rewriting that story.
By transforming forgotten properties into places of safety and purpose, we help individuals reclaim their lives and neighborhoods reclaim their potential.
Our Values
Dignity: Every person deserves respect and compassion.
Healing: We create environments that support recovery and wellness.
Transformation: We believe people and places can be renewed.
Community: Connection is essential to long‑term stability.
Integrity: We operate with transparency and accountability.
Equity: We champion fair access to housing and opportunity.
Our Vision
A Metro‑Detroit where every person overcoming addiction has access to dignified, restorative spaces that spark healing, empower transformation, and strengthen communities—turning forgotten properties into foundations of hope.
Whether through donations, partnerships, or volunteer support, you can help us build spaces where people are seen, supported, and given the chance to thrive. Together, we can transform more than buildings—we can transform lives.
